CINECAFEST Central American Short Film Festival
7th Central American Short Film Festival / CINECAFEST based in Miami, Florida that features short films from Central American and from around the world.
Last year, we received over 800 films from around the World from 70 countries.
Our goal is to promote and recognized our filmmakers.
MEXICO, GUATEMALA, EL SALVADOR, HONDURAS, NICARAGUA, COSTA RICA, PANAMA and from around the World. We witnessed so much talent in Central American and it’s a growing movement that deserves a venue dedicated to their exhibition that needs to be appreciated and recognized. Our mission is to present those films in Miami quality films from Central American and from around the world as well as support, recognized and honor Central American filmmakers with films created under 20 minutes. We had received thousands of films from Central America and from around the world. Everyone is welcome.

El primer festival de Cine Centroamericano en los Estados Unidos creado por el múltiple ganador de los premios Emmy Cesar Ricardo Núñez y presidente de Film Miami Fest, Miami WidescreenFest
"Estoy muy orgulloso de hacer historia y de mostrar al mundo que Centroamérica tiene mucho talento. Tenemos que unir a nuestra gente. Centro America ha sufrido mucho en su historia y tenemos que ayudarla a salir adelante. Este es un proyecto de sacar adelante nuestro cine y nuestra gente. Estamos abriendo una puerta con Cinecafest / Central American Short Film Festival. Nosotros le dimos la oportunidad a todos los países centroamericanos entre Estados Unidos, Belice, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y Panamá en ser parte de esta competencia en el festival de Film Miami Fest. Logramos varios cortometrajes centroamericanos que me orgullece ver el talento que tenemos.
Todos tenemos una historia que contar y el mundo lo tiene que ver. Yo solo espero el apoyo de nuestra gente, los gobiernos y que todos se den cuenta lo bello que es Centro América. Estoy muy orgullo de ser Centroamericano adoro mi gente, mi cultura y también nuestro cine. Que viva Centroamerica!".

"I am very proud to make history and show Central America has a lot of talent, we have to unite our people, Central America has suffered a lot in its history and we have to help it to get ahead, this is a project to move forward our cinema and our people. / Central American Short Film Festival. We gave the opportunity to all Central American countries between the United States, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama to be part of this competition at the Film Miami Fest. We have several Central American short films that I am proud to see the talent we have, we all have a story to tell and the world has to see it. I only hope for the support of our people, the governments, and for everyone to realize how beautiful Central America is. I am very proud of being Central American I love my people, my culture and also our cinema. Long live Central America! "
